What a great opportunity to partner with other groups for this clean up at Lily Pond at Carolina Beach State Park.  The other groups participating are Plastic Ocean Project (POP),  Friends of Pleasure Island State Park, Life Point Church, and the Three Pines Project. We will be escorted by Park Ranger Jesse Anderson.   The area of interest is called Lily Pond; which, was a dumping site for trash from around 1920-1960, before the area became a State Park.  Listen to a video about the ecosystem at Lily Pond Here.
