The Cape Fear Sierra Club is one of 14 local groups in the North Carolina Chapter, serving over 1,500 members in Bladen, Brunswick, Columbus, Duplin, New Hanover, Pender, and Robeson counties.

We are involved in development of environmental and conservation programs.

Linda Schoeni:

Linda has always loved spending time in nature and is a passionate advocate for protecting our environment.  After a 40+ year career in marketing at Bank of America, most recently leading local marketing for several regions of Merrill Lynch and The Private Bank, Linda relocated from Charlotte to Oak Island in 2023 and retired in 2024.  In addition to being the Conservation Chair for the Cape Fear Sierra Club, she’s a volunteer for Paws Place Dog Rescue in Winnabow, NC and is a volunteer for the Oak Island Sea Turtle Protection Program caring for the seasonal turtle nests.  Linda holds a BS in Public Administration from Auburn University.
